My name is Kim Stephens. My husband John and I started the Willow Tree Inn in 2012 to fulfill a bucket list dream to run a Bed and Breakfast. Let me tell you, there is nothing more satisfying than to realize a dream, especially when the people around you thought you were crazy. Well, I may still be crazy, but hopefully in a good way. The Inn was built in the 1860’s and is located in historic Cooperstown New York, home to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the Glimmerglass Opera House. Over the years, we have met some amazing people and enjoyed hosting hundreds of people on business, family vacations, bucket list pilgrimages or just a plain weekend get-a-ways. We try to buy local products whenever we can or we hand make everything else we serve to our guests. The Inn is always busy, so there is rarely a dull moment.
In addition to running the Inn, primarily by Mr. Stephens, I am a critical care flight nurse. My flight nurse life takes me all over the world and I have had the opportunity to help people who otherwise would not have access to specialized care or would rather be sick closer to home. It is a full order, but I am loving it so far. I hope you will find this journal interesting and will come back to see what’s going on. Take care and hope to see you this summer!
